Ronda Rousey revealed that she was originally expected to work until Survivor Series 2018 when her contract expired. Things were trending positively with the potential of the women main eventing WrestleMania for the first time.

The decision to continue working for another four months was done to help fulfill the dream. Rousey wanted to make sure the ladies main evented WrestleMania 35 and feared that leaving could change those plans.

1 Batista Was Considered To Team With Her In Debut Match

There were a few years where Batista seemed to be talking to the air when discussing his desire to end his career in a match against Triple H. WWE finally started talking to Batista about this before WrestleMania 34.

Batista revealed that the conversation was about him teaming with Ronda Rousey in her first match against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. WWE eventually went with Kurt Angle in Batista’s spot for the betterment of the story and stopped talking to Batista. Things worked out for everyone as Batista did get his wish a year later when retiring after a singles match against Triple H.
